TRR332 at the European Phagocyte Workshop 2025 – Madrid
This year’s European Phagocyte Workshop brought more than 230 scientists from 22 countries to beautiful and vibrant Madrid. The meeting was co-organized by Carlos Silvestre-Roig (TRR332), together with David Sancho and María Casanova-Acebes, and featured an amazing lineup of talks on the latest discoveries in macrophage and neutrophil biology. TRR332 supported and was represented by 17 participants and several talks from Panagiotis Sidiropoulos, Mathis Richter, Nastassia Kabankova, Kami Pekayvaz, and Collins Osei-Sarpong.
A special congratulations to Mathis Richter, who received the Best Short Talk award for his work on neutrophil progenitors as predictors of mortality after myocardial infarction. Of course, it wasn’t all science; we also experienced Madrid properly with a tapas tour through the famous La Latina neighborhood. The food, people and atmosphere were all great! We are already looking forward to the next European Phagocyte Workshop.
